Access to the latest technological resources can be considered the backbone of education in the 21st century, and today’s students in particular demand the latest computing, multimedia and interactive tools available.

The University of Arkansas is a member of Internet2, providing a high-speed connection to other national and international research networks. In addition, a wide variety of computing resources are available at the University of Arkansas, including email, free dial-up connections, and 300 MB of storage for files and Web page development, available to all students, faculty and staff.

Eight general access computing labs are available on campus, some open 24-hours to the university community. All labs offer printing, with color printers available in certain labs. Residence halls also are wired for high-speed, direct network access, and students have access to a number of PCs and Macintosh systems through general access and special purpose computer labs located throughout the campus.
