In an effort to revitalize the downtown area after World War II, Fulton Street was transformed into Fulton Street Mall and remains so today. Since 1964 shoppers have been pleased with the treasures they find here. Featuring architecture from various eras, this pedestrian mall is a sight to see. The artwork and mosaics that are sprinkled throughout amaze visitors. As the first mall of its kind in the United States, it remains an important part of the history of Fresno.
The Tower District encompasses a large selection of quaint, funky and sophisticated places to patronize. Major retailers, specialty stores and unique shops can all be found in a number of shopping centers and malls throughout Fresno. Don’t miss out on any of the great finds at River Park Place, Gallery Plaza, Fashion Fair Mall, Manchester Center, Fig Garden Village, Pavilion West, North Pointe Center, Sierra Vista Mall and the Galleria.
