Governor’s Message
Dear Friends,
As a Caldwell native, an Albertson College of Idaho alumnus, a former member of congress and Idaho’s governor, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to this wonderful community!
I have traveled extensively all over the world, visited scores of other countries and experienced many diverse cultures. Nowhere have I been greeted as warmly or treated as well as right here in southwestern Idaho’s Canyon County. I am confident you will receive the same kind of reception, and will soon come to think of our area as home.
From the instructors and college leaders who cultivated my intellectual curiosity and nurtured my dreams, to the classmates, neighbors and community leaders with whom I built lifelong friendships, Albertson College of Idaho remains a great part of my life.
The academic standards and expectations here are second to none, as is the college’s commitment to students’ enlightenment and success. My frequent return visits to the campus never fail to leave me with a renewed sense of optimism and limitless possibilities.
President Hoover and the faculty and staff at Albertson College of Idaho share my devotion to this great area, and to those who select my alma mater as home for their academic journey. The pursuit of excellence and spirit of civic virtue that this school embodies has, for generations, helped to make all of Idaho a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Please accept my invitation to linger here, to share and invest in the life and energy of Caldwell, Albertson College of Idaho, and our beautiful state. I’m confident the return will be beyond your greatest expectations.
