The Business and Industrial Development (BID) Center at Kishwaukee College offers a full range of services to area business and industry. Let us help your business be more successful!
Services offered include:
Consulting — The Kishwaukee College BID Center consultants can get you in contact with the right people, analyze your needs and recommend an effective course of action. We offer strategic planning, process mapping, project management, personnel skills and assessment and testing, organizational development, IT Solutions and Process Improvement.
Customized Training — The BID Center offers a wide range of customized training programs precisely geared to meet your organization’s needs. Training programs include Leadership and Management, Industrial and Technical Training, Computer Training, Leader Skills and Team Tools, OSHA Health & Safety Courses, plus more.
Tractor-Trailer Training — The Kishwaukee College 160-hour truck driver training program can be completed in four weeks and will provide you with the basic skills to become a safe, professional truck driver. The training combines classroom presentation with hands-on experience that leads to a Class A Commercial driver’s license.
Manufacturing Assistance — Through our partnership with the Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC), we are committed to improving your productivity and technical knowledge through a variety of services, including Lean Manufacturing Assistance, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, ISO/QS Registration and Quality Assurance, plus more.

Conference Center
The Kishwaukee College Conference Center, which opened its doors in 2002, has grown busier with each passing year. This multi-purpose, Wi-Fi ready center includes the 285-seat Jenkins Auditorium; a tiered training room with state-of-the-art multimedia capabilities; a large meeting area with four break-out rooms; and a dining room with a full-service kitchen and buffet line serving room. In addition to being well-outfitted for every need, the Center is beautiful, winning the Northern Illinois Chapter of the American Institute of Architects Award for Excellence in Architecture in 2002.
Local business, industry and organizations use the facility regularly for seminars, workshops and conferences. Organizations from outside the region have also found the Conference Center to offer all the amenities for a successful meeting or conference, as well as a friendly helpful staff.
The facility’s rooms are well-planned for a variety of uses, so the center lends itself to meeting the needs of a wide-range of groups. Plus, all reservations, media needs requests, special set-ups and lunch/refreshment arrangements for any group using the facility is made through a staff that takes pride in attention to detail to make sure the experience in the Conference Center is an excellent one!
