Welcome to the K-State family! Each fall our entire community looks forward to the opportunity to welcome our new students and their families to campus. I am aware that your student had many choices for his or her college education, and it is an honor to provide opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, for your student to experience success.
Now that your student is here, this publication serves as an important resource for you and your family. Retention and ultimately graduation are my goals for every single student. Our primary focus is your student’s success while he or she is here. Give us a chance to respond to any concerns you may have and always feel free to contact me directly.
K-State’s mission is “putting students first.” Our academic programs, student life opportunities, and caring group of faculty and staff make K-State a great place to call home. We focus on the success of each individual and hope to extend the positive experience of the university to all students.
We want you to feel part of your student’s college experience. We hope that you will join with the university to support your student through his or her transition into college life. College is a time when most students test their boundaries. Your interest in your student, your moral support, and your willingness to help them begin to make decisions for themselves are essential factors in their progress toward independence.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and your student during their time at K-State.
