Counseling Services

K-State Counseling Services provides the highest standard of professional services to help all students reach their full potential—personally, academically, and socially. Within an accepting, sustaining, and compassionate setting, we attend to the psychological needs of our students to alleviate concerns, facilitate problem solving, promote well-being, and enhance success.

We provide comprehensive counseling and mental health services for students. Individual, couple, and group counseling is offered to discuss academic, career, or personal concerns. Testing, consultation, biofeedback training, and other psychological services are also available. Workshops and short programs are offered on topics such as stress management training, assertiveness training, career life planning, eating disorders, and alcohol dependency/co-dependency. Appointments may be made by contacting or visiting our office, or registering online on our Web site.

K-State Counselors

On your first visit, a counselor will clarify and assess your present concerns and determine the options available. By the end of the initial assessment, you may expect to gain at least three things: First, some idea of the goals you and your counselor believe to be reasonable to work toward; secondly, a general plan for getting to that goal; and lastly, some idea of the length of time you may need to work toward your goal.
