K-State Proud

K-State Proud exemplifies students helping students
Each day on campus you are likely to come across at least one student wearing a K-State Proud t-shirt. Yet in the past two years this shirt has done much more than announce Wildcat pride.

The K-State Proud campaign—led by the leadership of Student Foundation—is an all-university student campaign inspiring students to show their K-State pride through philanthropy.

Each spring semester, every K-State student is invited to show his or her pride by contributing to the K-State Proud student campaign. One hundred percent of the donations create Student Opportunity Awards. The tremendous success of the first two years of the campaign raised more than $150,000, creating two types of awards: K-State Hero awards and K-State Proud awards.

What are Student Opportunity Awards?
They’re not scholarships or loans: they’re awards. They provide financial assistance for students who have demonstrated extreme financial need or who need temporary financial assistance. They also recognize students who have shown an outstanding commitment to K-State through campus leadership, community service, or other areas of student life.
