The Office of Multicultural Student Organizations provides a network of support for multicultural students, fosters leadership development and service-learning projects, and generates campus programs that affirm cultural heritage.
The programs put on by multicultural student organizations (MSOs) begin with welcome backs in the fall and end with multicultural graduation balls and banquets in the spring. In between, there are celebrations of Asian American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American Heritage Month, Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Week, Dolores Huerta/Cesar Chavez Week, dances, step shows, and many other programs/events.
MSOs supported by this office include the Asian American Student Union, Black Student Union, Hispanic American Leadership Organization, Native American Student Association, United Black Voices, Proclaiming Righteousness Always in Jesus’ Name, Workers of Wisdom, Ebony Theatre, National Pan-Hellenic Council, historically African American and Latino fraternities and sororities, Multicultural Student Organizations Leadership Council, National Organization of Minority Architect Students, Multicultural Business Student Association, and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences.
K-State is very proud of the fact that it has award-winning multicultural student organizations. These 23 organizations are highly respected, and every multicultural student coming to K-State should begin their campus involvement in one of them.
