Have you ever wanted to try fencing, yoga, scuba diving, or ballroom dancing? Want to earn college credit while learning life-saving skills? Are you interesting in living “greener?” Mentoring a teenager? Attending a lecture on current social issues? UFM offers all of these opportunities and more, with more than 300 classes and activities available each semester.
UFM is a campus and community education program serving Kansas State University, the Manhattan area, and communities across Kansas. Last year UFM offered 1,007 classes to 3,431 students. Based on the philosophy that everyone can learn and everyone can teach, UFM provides fun and interesting opportunities for learning and personal development.
UFM offers a broad range of classes; new classes are added every semester. Many of the recreational classes can also be taken for K-State credit. If you are seeking a unique volunteer or intern experience, UFM’s mentoring program is a great way to volunteer in the community, meet new people, and work with local youth. UFM also provides internship opportunities for K-State students in a variety of degree programs.
