Ragin’ Cajun Orientation

orientation

All new students begin their college career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette by attending our Ragin’ Cajun Orientation program.

This two-day experience helps new students acclimate to the university through a variety of educational and social programs.

During Ragin’ Cajun Orientation, students are placed into discussion groups with 20-25 other new students. Each discussion group is facilitated by Student Orientation Staff (SOS) members, who are currently enrolled students that volunteer their summer to coordinate and run the Orientation program.

In addition to learning about academics and registering for classes, students attending Orientation have the opportunity to discuss transition issues, learn about student services and participate in our Red & White Night to socialize with other new students.

Information about Ragin’ Cajun Orientation is mailed to students who have been accepted to the university beginning in February for students starting fall semester and beginning in October for students starting spring semester.

For more information on Ragin’ Cajun Orientation or the Student Orientation Staff, contact The Office of Orientation & Transfer Center at 337-482-1391 or e-mail us at orientation@louisiana.edu.
