Excellent faculty, excellent programs and excellent students combine to ensure you an education that will prepare you for graduate school or a career.

students

With more than 100 academic majors and concentrations, there is sure to be a program of study to suit almost any interest. UL Lafayette students know they are receiving a quality education because 100 percent of all programs eligible for individual accreditation are accredited. In addition, students in professional majors, including nursing and education, consistently achieve a 96-100 percent first-time pass rate on professional licensing exams.

UL Lafayette is noted for its world-class scholars, excellence in teaching and cutting-edge research. Here are some examples: One of Dr. Karl Hasenstein’s experiments, which focuses on how plants detect gravity, was aboard a NASA space shuttle. Dr. Anita Hazelwood is a fellow member of the American Health Information Management Association. Only about 30 HIM professionals in the entire country have earned that designation.

The work of these professors is outstanding, but they are not alone in their accomplishments. Our students distinguish themselves in national academic competitions, on professional licensing exams and in community service.
