President’s Letter

If you’re searching for a university that will prepare you well for your career or graduate school, take a look at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The state’s second largest university, UL Lafayette is located in one of Louisiana’s most exciting and progressive cities. It offers an exceptional college experience at an affordable cost. It’s known for its strong academics, friendly faculty and student body, and its emphasis on student success. UL Lafayette has earned national and international attention in fields such as computer science, biology, nursing, business, architecture and education.

The university stresses hands-on learning, so there are many opportunities for internships and community service. There are over 150 student organizations on campus, too.

When it’s time to put the books away for a while, there are lots of ways to have fun. Big-name entertainers perform in the Cajundome, a 12,800-seat arena on campus. The Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum has constantly changing exhibits. You can cheer for Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns, who compete at the highest level of collegiate athletics. And, Lafayette is filled with restaurants, great places to shop, art galleries and a variety of entertainment venues.
