Outside of the central business district are around 30 other great shopping destinations. A few miles south of Downtown Springfield, just off of Highway 65, is southwest Missouri’s largest indoor shopping mall, Battlefield Mall, which is lined with more than 150 specialty shops, four department stores and several eateries. Other notable shopping centers in town are Chesterfield Village, Primrose Marketplace, the Galleria, Battlefield Marketplace, Brentwood Center and The Plaza.

Accompanying the range of retailers discovered in Springfield are more than 800 restaurants offering a wide selection of menus and environments. Charming cafés, laid-back pubs and casual restaurants are perfect for a meal with friends and family, while plenty of elegant fine dining establishments provide a night to remember with someone special. The food choice is just as eclectic, with everything from American favorites to gourmet dishes to global delicacies. No matter what the palate is craving, there is something for even the pickiest of eaters in Springfield.
