Student Unions

The Missouri Student Unions consist of two buildings: Memorial Student Union and Brady Student Commons. Both facilities provide quality facilities, services and conveniences for all the students, faculty, staff and guests of the University.

New Student Center

Coming Soon: MU’s New Student Center!
Built in 1963, Brady Student Commons has been the heart of Mizzou student life for more than four decades. At the time of its construction, Brady was designed to accommodate a student population of roughly 15,000. Today, with nearly twice the number of students, Brady is one of the most heavily used buildings on campus. Seating and dining areas are extremely limited and lounge, casual and meeting spaces are simply non-existent. Students voiced the need for a new student center, one worthy of future Tigers. In a record-breaking referendum in April 2005 students voted to increase their student activity fee to expand and renovate Brady Student Commons. Construction on the first portion of the new student center began during the summer of 2007.

The 220,000 square foot facility (almost double the size of the current Brady) will offer expanded services and amenities, expanded space for student government and space for programs, resources and services offered through Multicultural Affairs, the Women’s Center and the Wellness Resource Center. The new student center will be, above all, a place to make friends and lasting memories.
