Student Parent Center
The Student Parent Center is a state-licensed, full-service child care facility available to student parents who attend the University of Missouri-Columbia. The Student Parent Center offers flexible, full-day care to children from six weeks through five years of age. Some of
the other perks include:

• Sliding-scale fees
• Flexible, semester-based scheduling
• Qualified teachers and staff
• Low child-to-adult ratio
• 2-, 3-, or 5-day program available
Infant Program
The infant program provides a safe, loving environment for children 6 weeks to 20 months. Teachers take special care to meet each child's needs, and offer individualized
attention by interacting with each child throughout the day and offer activities that encourage children to move through the developmental milestones in natural progression.
Toddler Program
The toddler years mark a period of rapid growth and development. Our program offers activities that encourage children to experiment, discover and learn about their environment.
Teachers provide theme-related
activities that allow children to work on skills like balancing, climbing and basic manners while engaging in hands-on activities. Many activities focus on the natural world and are sensory-based.
Preschool Program
The Preschool program offers a
variety of activities that foster a child's natural curiosity and helps to create a love for learning. Teachers focus on activities that require more advanced cognitive concepts and physical skills that result in development of positive self-esteem and
confidence in their own abilities.
Availability
The Student Parent Center usually has a waiting list for interested families. Under normal circumstances the waiting period is one college semester but varies according to age of child and hours of care needed. To be included on the waiting list you must fill out an admissions application.
Scheduling
The Student Parent Center uses flexible scheduling to meet the needs of students’ schedules. We offer care 2 days (Tuesday, Thursday), 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or 5 days (Monday-Friday).
