In Columbia, you are never more than a few minutes away from one of the 13 major
shopping areas including the region’s largest mall and a downtown area, referred to
affectionately as “The District,” that features restaurants and unique shopping experiences highlighted several times in Southern Living magazine.

The region’s largest mall, Columbia Mall, is anchored by four major department stores — Target, JC Penney, Dillard’s and Sears — and encompasses more than 100 different stores. Within the mall is Fountain Court, an area filled with well-known shops including the Ann Taylor Loft, Coldwater Creek and Jos. A. Bank.
Antique shops are plentiful in Columbia, each offering authentic products in their own distinct setting. Visit the Columbia Antique Mall, the 38,000 square foot Market Place, the 200 vendors at the Ice Chalet Antique Mall and A La Campagne for international antique goods, fine art and more.
Sports and Columbia
For more fast-paced fun, Columbia is home to an array of sporting events. The University of Missouri Tigers’ teams always provide for an entertaining time. Men’s and women’s basketball, football, baseball, softball, track and field and others continuously pack the house with fans. Sporting events can also be found at Columbia College. The Cougars’ volleyball,
soccer and men’s and women’s basketball teams are continuously strong competitors across the board. During the summer months, Columbia plays host to the Show-Me State Games, a
state-wide competition in virtually every sport imaginable, including archery, bowling, football, golf, power-lifting, table tennis, ultimate Frisbee, swimming and countless more events. From Columbia’s hot spot districts to the area’s
