The city’s strong medical community continuously advocates for healthy lifestyles and overall wellness of the residents in Columbia and its surrounding areas through progressive healthcare services. University Hospital - This Level I Trauma Center and helicopter-serviced hospital is equipped with the region’s only Burn Intensive Care Unit.
Children’s Hospital - Mid-Missouri’s largest and most extensive pediatric care facility, the Children’s Hospital provides neonatal, pediatric intensive care units and an adolescent unit.
Columbia Regional Hospital - Named as one of the top 100 orthopedic hospitals in the nation, Columbia Regional Hospital is continuously providing the latest in medical care to Columbia and its neighboring communities.
Ellis Fischel Cancer Center - Missouri’s only medical facility committed to cancer care and research, the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center incorporates cancer outpatient services, Cancer Screening Services and modern, top-rate inpatient services.
Rusk Rehabilitation Center - Providing short- and long-term rehabilitation, Rusk is part of both University of Missouri Health Care and HealthSouth. It offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care to children and adults and includes treatment of brain injuries, strokes, orthopedic troubles, spinal cord injuries, pulmonary conditions, lymphedema and overall chronic pain.
Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital - Situated on the border of the Mizzou campus in Columbia, the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital is an acute-care teaching hospital serving eligible veterans from all across the state. Standing as a VA regional referral center for cardiovascular disease treatment, the center also specializes in cardiology, geriatrics, hospice care, substance abuse treatment and more.
Boone Hospital Center - This full- service medical center is preeminent in the fields of cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgical services, obstetrical services and more. The Boone Hospital Center established WELLAWARE, which “offers resources in occupational medicine, behavioral health, and BHC’s various prevention and fitness programs to the community at large in Columbia, MO.”
Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center - Provides both inpatient and outpatient services to children, adolescents and adults.
The Family Health Center - Allocates a wide range of healthcare services, from a variety of medical and dental services to mental health services.
