University Counseling Services (UCS) assists students in their adjustment to college life, especially as they strive to become emotionally resilient, academically confident and socially engaged with family, friends, partners and faculty. Helping students overcome depression, thoughts of suicide, prejudice, anxiety, perfectionism, eating disorders and alcohol and substance abuse are but a few of the examples of our efforts.
The staff includes psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists.
UCS, the Center for Collegiate Behavioral Health (CBH) and Prevention and Recovery Services (PRS) are members of the Safe Zone Program.

CENTER FOR COLLEGIATE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
The Center for Collegiate Behavioral Health is your connection to information and resources that help you make healthy choices in the way you live. The emphasis is on primary prevention of disease and mental illness by addressing the health of the whole person with holistic programming to also promote and maintain health and well-being.
Groups and programs such as stress management, smoking cessation, healthy eating, healthy sleeping and meditation training are just a few of the programs offered. We can also help with the process of adapting and coping effectively with the stressors of life such as classroom demands and interpersonal relationships. RECOVERY HOUSE
An alternative housing option is available for Case students who want to reside in a substance-free, recovery-based house. Recovery House is open to eligible undergraduate, graduate and professional school students from Case, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Art and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine to assist resident students in developing healthy life skills while remaining free of alcohol and other drugs.
Resident students develop an individualized plan for continued sobriety along with personal health objectives and are encouraged to assist one another in creating a safe and supportive place to live, study, and recreate free of alcohol and other drugs.
