The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) is a diversified educational resource in the Cleveland area. CMSD currently enrolls more than 55,000 students. Continuously striving for improvement, the district is equipped with approximately 5,300 certified staff members devoted to supplying its enrolled students the highest quality of education.

LIBRARIES

Facilitating Cleveland’s educational opportunities are extensive area libraries. Founded in 1869, the Cleveland Public Library encompasses one of the biggest, most comprehensive collections in the U.S. – totaling nearly 10 million items. The more than 529,000-square-foot facility is situated along Superior Avenue, between East 3rd and East 6th. Cleveland residents also have access to the Heights Library, Case Western Reserve University’s Library and the Cuyahoga County Public Library, along with several other specialized libraries.
