Recreation Center
The recreation center is located on the ground floor of the Student Union. A Wright1 Card grants students access to the 9,500-square-foot fitness center, the swimming pool, locker rooms, racquetball/squash courts, group exercise studios, the climbing wall, the lounge and game table area, and the gymnasium. Additional recreation facilities are available at the Nutter Center, including gymnasia and an indoor track.

The Office of Campus Recreation is dedicated to providing quality recreational opportunities for the WSU community. To meet the diverse needs and interests of students, faculty and staff, a comprehensive and innovative recreational program has been developed.

Adapted Recreation
Adapted recreation offers competitive, social and recreational programs for people with disabilities. Offerings include wheelchair basketball, power soccer, aquatics, intramurals, fitness, and outdoor and sport clubs.

Intramural Sports
Intramural sports are a great way to make friends and flex your competitive muscle. CREC offers men’s, women’s and co-recreational team sports; individual and dual sports; and one-day special events and tournaments. Flag football, basketball and softball are just few of the seasonal offerings.

Ski Club

Outdoor Recreation
The Outdoor Resource Center (ORC) creates opportunities to build adventure skills through a variety of hands-on clinics and instructional workshops. Their events are designed to accommodate all levels of experience, from the curious novice to the accomplished mountain climber.

Fitness
Rec Fit is a program of FREE non-credit fitness classes for members of the WSU community with a valid Wright1 Card. The classes vary from quarter to quarter, but could include step aerobics, kick boxing, body sculpting, group cycling, belly dancing or water aerobics. Personal trainers can also help you achieve your fitness goals!

Sport Clubs
The sport club program is the door to recreation competition and instruction in a variety of active pursuits. Each of the clubs is responsible for its own governing and organization, so students have opportunities for leadership, development and growth.
