Location and Transportation
The greater Dayton area is located in Montgomery County, within close proximity to the big cities of Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville and many other Midwest markets.
This Southwest Ohio region sits at the intersection of the highly traveled I-70 and I-75—also referred to as the “Crossroads of America”—with access to I-675 and a number of State and U.S. routes as well. This ideal location places the Dayton region within 600 miles of 61 percent of the U.S. population and 63 percent of the country’s manufacturers.
Air travel is available at Dayton International Airport. The conveniently located airport is served by 10 airlines that offer nearly 100 non-stop flights to more than 20 destinations in the U.S. and Canada. Dayton International is well-known as the host of the annual Vectren Dayton Air Show by Kroger, one of the nation’s most prestigious air shows that draws an estimated 80,000-100,000 spectators each July.
