There are many factors that contribute to the Dayton area’s attractive quality of life, which is distinguished by a mix of big-city amenities and strong Midwestern values.
Housing prices in the region are consistently lower when compared to similar markets in the U.S., and the array of styles are just as appealing.
Plus, for both residents not in the market to buy and students looking for affordable off-campus living, the Dayton area is spotted with ample rental options.
A number of apartment complexes are located near campus, as are larger rental spaces in townhomes and houses in surrounding neighborhoods.

Getting involved in the community is important for both residents and college students. Participating in any one of the many community organizations in the greater Dayton area provides unmatched opportunities to get to know the ins and outs of the community in which one lives and to experience the world of service, all while having fun in the process.
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America is one local organization that cares about the betterment of the community. CCFA’s mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. The Foundation is always looking for volunteers eager to help, and, depending upon individual skills and interests, volunteers are invited to:

• Plan and participate in various fundraising events.
• Help with chapter educational programs.
• Become involved with CCFA Camp Oasis.
• Help organize and publicize local support groups.
• Participate in our legislative advocacy programs.
• Help create and produce chapter publications, including Foundation newsletters.
For more information on CCFA and how to get involved, please contact the local Southwest Ohio Chapter at (877) 283-7513 or via email at swohio@ccfa.org.
