Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi University Center and Student Activities

tug-of-war

The objective of the Office of the University Center & Student Activities (UCSA) is to foster a healthy academic climate and professional atmosphere that promotes and encourages student leadership, learning and growth.

The goal of our office is to improve the quality of life on campus through activities, programming and student employment. These programs and activities will fit the needs of the students in interpersonal and leadership development, provide campus entertainment, and encourage students to become involved in organizations and activities.

We provide resources and physical space for student organizations through the Student Organization Center (SOC), and we provide programming through departmentally sponsored organizations like Aloha Days Freshman Camp, the CAB, EDGE, Greek Life, the Island Waves Student Newspaper, the Islander Cultural Alliance, TIDE, the South Texas Leadership Conference and Waves of Welcome.

The University Center (UC) serves as the "Living Room" of the campus and strives to be a place where students, faculty and staff can interact, learn and laugh with one another.

The UC comprises meeting facilities, administrative and student offices, food service, and retail amenities that comprise almost 100,000 square feet.

Whether you stop for a meal in the Common's Market food court; catch up with friends on some of our comfy, cozy furniture; or head to the Breakers Game Room for a little Xbox 360 competition or billiards play, the UC is the place to see and be seen on campus!
