Small Business Internship Program
There’s been lots of talk about brain drain in Corpus Christi (young professionals having to leave the city to find work in their chosen fields). Another issue getting attention these days is concern that there wasn’t enough economic growth in the area. A possible solution to both of these grave issues is the Small Business Internship Program.

The Small Business Internship Program is a new grant-funded partnership between Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Career Service and the City of Corpus Christi Economic Development Corporation. The partnership offers small businesses in Corpus Christi the opportunity to grow with the assistance of highly trained students who meet specific business’ needs. The grant provides for partial funding of the intern’s wages.
For the purpose of this program, a small business must meet the following three criteria: be located in Corpus Christi, be for-profit, and have 49 employees or less. For more information, contact Career Services at 361-825-2628.
